This is an older photo, but still a cute dress. I'd look into www.dessy.com for ideas. A dress that can be worn other places seems to fit the need. And the expense, since your maids pay for their own. I like the mix and match dresses, all the same color. Of course your maid of honor has the most beautiful gown besides you.
